Hi this may sound like a dumb question but i was wondering, if you can use more then one scale for a chord progression if that scale contains those chords.

Im asking this because im trying to learn a bucket head song and one of the notes he uses is not in the scale i use, the natural minor. THX

You don't 'have' to stay in the scale. If you can play something that sounds good and it fits ok then heh

Scales are just a rough guideline. Depending on the chord progression, there will be notes outside of the set scale that will still fit and sound good.
