yes. do this. i dont think you should stop alltogether, but im not you. also i took like a year and a half off of playing guitar and i like it even more now so a break might do you good. get some ideas going or something. good luck anyways
#6
yo kyle I think you should do whatever the hell you want, although you do make some bomb ass guitars, plus the stafford/fredburg area is down for well crafted things in general so it dosent matter

When did you start?

Either. both.

if you stop for a while, the only person supplying us with impressive builds on a regular basis will be ormsby. WHAT WILL WE DO!?

Does this mean some one will have to replace you?

I was planning a build, but I troll on to many people, that no one will comment on my build. So you need to stay.

actually we're LP Addicts - get the reference

So no more builds from you, at all?
#16
I think you should do whatever you want but i also think that you'll be guitar deprived after a while and it'll hook you back in.
#17
That's good then
Just go with what feels right. Of course, for all of us, right is building guitars. But for you, who knows?
it's all just coming back
it's all coming back

it's all coming back to me

You're only 19?!? From looking at some of your builds I thought you'd been doing it for like 20 years! Man, you can do/be whatever you want!

So long as you still are available for wood and parts,
do what you want.
If you won't be, then I do not approve of this decision.

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.

what happened to js?

He hasn't had a build in MONTHS. You're the only thing alive that's guitar-related in GB&C. I know ormsby is doing a build as of now... but still, they're few and far between IMO.

I'm doing the same thing pretty much, I want to do more woodworking cabinetmaking fine furniture and stuff so after I finish this acoustic a classical and a 12 string I'm going to slow down on acoustics and spend time on that. I will probably continue building acoustics every once in a while I like it much more than electrics and don't need any more electrics since my last one was perfect.

as long as i can still buy wood and parts with you and you dont completely abandon UG im fine...but i still love ur builds
