my neighbors were moving out and found this bass in their basment
im in the process of fixing it up but i cant find anyinfo on it.
the only think on it is an old kingston logo

Looks like it could be crafted in Japan around the 60s-70s...maybe a Teisco?

Don't knock the roller ball, its simply the ghettoist mouse ever, they're great if your like me and you cant afford any more table space for your computer

But more to the point, looks like a cheap Japanese bass from the "copy era" to me. And what is that big chunky thing down towards the bottom? Is that some crazy bridge or what?

Kingston was one of the many names Teisco imported basses and guitars to the US. There are quite a few websites out there on Teisco brand instruments and you should be able to find out the model of the bass.
