Hey guys, i just got back from Parkway Drive(AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!)
And they were using Peavey 6505+ and i was just wondering, is it the 6260 or 6262 that is the clone of a 6505+

Thanks heaps!

6260 = 5150 = 6505
6262 = 5150 II = 6505+

Depending on how much money you have right now and if you can wait you could wait for the Peavey 6505+ 1x12 combo.it's around the same price as the bugera but it will be the real deal. It should come out soon (between april and june, most likely april).

the 6262s are great sounding, so are the 6260s. they both ahve the same voiceing, except the 6260 has just a "hair" more gain in it like the 5150 vs the 5150 II. its hardly noticeable. the 6262 has sep eqs for the 2 channels, 6260 shares an eq and presence controls. the 6262 has better cleans and has a beefier crunch function due to the 6th preamp tube

the bugera sounds pretty good. I've played all of them and bought a 333xl as a back up at the time. I ended up using it over my peavey 6505 for a while because it has a tighter gain to it. But it didn't hold up as well at loud volumes. the 6262 sounds like the 6505+ but it doesn't sound as tight but it's close. Just make sure you fill out the warranty. My bugera is now broken after no abuse. Replace the fuses and you should be good.

Well never listen to reviews the tone king guy does. He is a complete jackass. And setting the amps at 12 o clock all the time is stupid too. Hell set it somewhere where it sounds good. He even gets confused on how to work most of the amps he reviews. He reviewed the 333xl and said it didn't have enough gain..lol The thing has more gain than the 6505. He had it all set up wrong with almost no power amp saturation. on the vypyr he couldnt figure out how to set the thing.

first of the first 2 videos are comparisons not reviews. second is that by stting it to 5 it gives you a rough idea what the amp sound likes. I mean if you set up a MG to sound good and set a mesa against it which is ****ty set up the MG will sound better.

i agree, his diming of the gain every time is so annoying. i mean, most of the uber high gain players of amps like the 5150 would never need their gain over 5, and this guy's just ruining the sound of pretty much every piece of gear he plays

Head and Cab for $130? You don't need a head and cabinet, you need a psychological examination.
