So i listen to a fair bit of Norma Jean, Protest the hero, Architects etc and its great listening. But never really got into playing it much. Any help with what dissonant chords to use and time signatures etc. Want to keep it melodic still. i just want to implement a bit of influence into my playing which is along the lines of IKTPQ, BMTH, Lovehatehero, Senses Fail etc

listen to older mudvayne stuff and you will become a math metal guru
mudvayne is way better than Norma Jean and Protest the hero put together

never really liked older mudvayne stuff that much. Plus they're just a lil bit too far away from the hardcore groove im looking for

and besides, why do you want to add to the plethora of crap bull**** that exists... stuff like old mudvayne is what we need more of.

You ever listened to any Gwen Stacy? thats the kinda stuff i wanna play with weirder time sigs and a bit more dissonance but not used all over the shop. Less metal, more core!
