The last few months or so I've been researching into some pedals and the electronic circuitry behind them and it seems there is much incest out there with everyone cloning and / or modding the famous ones and producing their own versions.

Now the question is, which pedals do you know of that are exact clones of other pedals?

I can only think of one - Rockson OD-10 being a clone of the Boss SD-1.
Ibanez SAS32FM
Dunlop Crybaby
Korg Pitchblack
Boss LS-2
Boss SD-1 + 2 x Clones... all modded of course
Fulltone GT2
Hardwire DL-8
Big Muff (Russian)
Vox Pathfinder 15R
Vox AC30CC2

Rocktron Heart Attack is a clone of the EHX Bassballs, as is the Behringer VB1
Behringer VD-1 is a clone of the EHX Big Muff Pi.
Behringer VM-1 is a clone of the EHX DMM (doesn't sound bad at all for the price, imo)
Behringer VP-1 is a clone of the EHX Small Stone
Behringer XD-300 is a clone of the Boss XT-2
Behringer SE-200 is a copy of the Boss SE-2
Behringer PH9 is a copy of the MXR Phase 90
Behringer HF-300 is a copy of the Boss Hi-Band Flanger
The others are more obvious, I guess.

I wonder how similar the electronic components are... funny, you'll never see anyone raving about a Behringer PH9 Its a pity they use so much plastic though.

Plenty of boutique effects are slight modifications of old pedals.

[quote="'[BurnTheDusk"]']Boss pedals may be built like tanks but I would rather buy a cardboard box that is on my side than pay for a tank that is working against me.
