I need some reviews on this guitar. Someone has offered me one with a bigsby for £400. I havn't heard of this guitar before now and only know it was dicontinued in 2006. It also has blues p90's. I play rock/indie, classic rock and metal. I'd also like to know what the varitone switch is like.

Digitech Death metal pedal [wanting to sell - £15]

i'd probably leave the metal to my SG although it is a very small amount i play.

would work pretty well for everything except metal, play it for a bit and decide for yourself
id probably take it

I've also heard some have bad tuning stability. Is this true and if it is what is an easy way of fixing is without new tuners?

hey fender-les paul,

thats an excellent price. these typically go for $700+ on ebay and with a case $800+. with a bigsby you are definitely at the $1000 range.

the varitone switch gives you a wide variety of sounds, from a Fender Strat or Tele like sound to more humbucker like. the varitone can be disabled by pulling up on the tone knob. the varitone is also disabled in posiiton 6 of the varitone knob.

I have not had problem with my stock tuners, however, replacement is one of the mods that blueshawk owners make.

another thing, on mine anyway, the bridge pup by itself is rather weak and unuseable. the combined position is also somewhat weak particularly in position 1 and 2 of the varitone. I am considering a replacement. that being said, the neck pick up and the combined positions and the varitone combine for a wide variety of tones.

you got to buy it at that price. If you don't like it you should be able to sell it for about double (or more) assuming a case and good condition.

The OP quote a price in GBP, not USD, so that doesn't really hold fully true.
Oh, now I've gone and spilled my tea. This really won't do at all.

Last one I saw was £600 odd in a store.

Cool guitar man, go for it at £400. Wicked blues and rock tone.

Bit different to a les paul too, which is always nice.
