...I don't know how this happened but whenever my danelectro fish and chips is on it sound like my amp is in a sealed box, and makes everything sound bad. It also increases my volume without boosting the level. Anyone know why?

it's an equalizer. work with the settings. you can definitely get a crappy sound with poor setting choices.

I have no idea what you're trying to say here. Try again.

does it run on batteries?

check those.

Make sure your cords aren't faulty, and that your guitar's not the problem (Dead batteries for EMG's?)

No, power adaptor.

SYK- It does this when everything is set at 0 too.

When it's all set to 0, that's crappy EQ settings.

Try to run it off a fresh battery and not a power adapter. I have found that power adapters sometimes cause pedals to hum or not put out a decent sound, and batteries tend to be cleaner (but more costly) in producing a better sound.

Could just be a faulty pedal.

What exactly is this pedal supposed to sound like?

I heard someone say that Fall Out Boy had amazing guitarwork. But, it was a 13 year old girl, so it didn't matter.
