Pokemon: The First Movie

Wait...

Ok seriously though, Back to the Future Parts 1, 2 & 3

EDIT: Oh there has to be some historical happening. First three Indiana Jones movies? All of them happened during WWII and I'm pretty sure they ran in with Nazis a few times.

Falling Down.

Edit: Seriously guys, this movie is badass. Takes place in the early 90's in LA. I think it makes a statement on the lower, middle, and upper class.

Just as good as the movie IMO, I know there's a trend of hating film adaptations but I think Gilliam and Depp pulled the movie off excellently.

Great one. I can't think of any others, but I can say that TS should stay away from Gone With the Wind, unless you want a racist view of the Civil War and Reconstruction.

Gangs of New York is a great one. Pretty accurate, and a fantastic film.

Apocalypse Now

This, most of the movies mentioned don't really reflect the time in which they where made, since they where made a long time after the stuff happened.

So far I'm thinking of doing Rebel Without a Cause or Apocalypse Now. Thanks for all the help!!

Martin Scorsese ... or Martin Scrosselezizi...

Strangely, I'd say A Clockwork Orange too... even though it's not from the US and isn't set in their present day... it showed how the 60s-70s society was berserk.
