classic 50's are great amps but they aren't for metal.

the cleans are really great and the crunch is just enough. if you put a nice dist pedal in front though it sounds amazing.

The newer Classics are better IMO. That's a totally different beast, the newer ones are all tube where those have tubes in the poweramp sections but not in the preamp. They didn't sound bad per se, just not my cup of tea.
