How much does a guitar set up usually cost?
I called sam ash and they said around 50 dollars

and the freelance at guitar center is ~25 (I don't remember exact price) if I'm even remembering that one correctly

I usually do complete setups for around $25 plus cost of strings. If you do get a setup, don't take it to guitar center. Its a great store, don't get me wrong, but their tech guys do a half-ass job.

the local guitar center doesn't have their guys do it...
they have this one guy who freelances and pays them part of the profit


I wouldn't trust the normal GC staff...

At the Music Store I work at we set up your guitar and all for only $10. And yes that includes strings.

Holy crap man thats awesome, my local tech charges around $50, he does good work though so its worth it to me. I just got new strings put on today and he cleaned the guitar and lemon oiled my frets for free which is something I didnt even ask him to do he just did it.
