When setting up my floyd rose when I change string gauge which I tend to do to much. I put all my strings on get a little tension on them to keep the bridge from jumping off the pivot pegs then put a ruler (seems to work best for me) wooden one that fits perfectly between bridge and body and has the bridge nice and level, I then tighten the screws down on the tension springs just enough to keep the bridge from pulling up due to string tension then I tune up the guitar doing all my string stretching and everything, then once I have it all set I start to loosen the screws on the tension springs back and forth a little at a time so I can just slide out the ruler keeping the bridge level then do a little fine tuning usually not much and I am ready to play. Hope this helps anyone needing it.
