As the title says, I need some songs for my band to play. We have a bass, 2 guitarists, and a drummer, and some of us can sing. we play classic rock, alternative, hard rock, punk rock, progressive, and blues. Thanks for the help.

I'll suggest a new one, the 48 minute rendition of Cicatriz by The Mars Volta from Scab Dates, played perfectly note for note.

Punk Rock:
When I come Around - Green Day
Icky Thump - White Stripes

No offense, but those are ****ty choices for punk rock. The White Stripes are great but aren't really punk rock, except for 1 or 2 songs.

Punk Rock:
Linoleum - NOFX
Tiny Voices - Bad Religion
Don't Drag Me Down - Social Distortion
Greed - Pennywise
Long View - Green Day
Rejected - Rancid

Sorry for making a bunch of suggestions, but I am a nerd when it comes to punk rock. I am too strict about suggestions.

Once again, sorry for making a "revised" list.

Anyway, play those songs for the punk rock songs you want to play. Listen to what everyone else said for the other genres.

Who is the audience? You should really base your set on the expected crowd, if you're looking at doing parties for friends then as much Seether and Mars Volta as you can play might work.

But if you're getting paying gigs at weddings, parties etc you should have classic rock n roll songs in your repertiore. Beatles, Doobie Brothers, Chuck Berry, Bob Dylan gets people out of their chairs and dancing.
