So I was wondering if I put a pedal in between my guitar and amplifier that boosts my signal up is there any way that I might damage the amp by running too hot a signal into the amplifier. If I keep the volume down to a suitable level is there any way that this could lead to a damaged amp or anything.

nope, not even if you crank it.

now, when you put it flat out, and you put two boosters at max volume boost in front of it, that won't be too good for the amp, but you should be fine when you don't make it extreme.

if it's a tube amp, and you crank +boost it, the tubes will wear out somewhat faster, and when using a transistor and you notice that it's starting to clip, back down the boosting, but otherwise, you're fine.
