Be more specific. What are you using for a preamp, what are your needs as far as powering cabinets. Are you recording gigging or what.

For the price and quality the PB is hard to beat. Plenty of power and it's very clean. The option of stereo and mono is nice. The eq is very responsive and does a good job of adjusting your tone for whatever volume you're at.
I don't give a shit if you listen to me or not

Head and Cab for $130? You don't need a head and cabinet, you need a psychological examination.

for this general question, i can give you a general response: The Crate PB accepts effects very well. Stand alone it is a very sterile amp, in a good way.
