Hey all,

I'm looking for some Am pentatonic solos. Nothing majorly heard, I have three months playing.

My intent is really just to see how the Am pentatonic scale has been used to construct solos.

Ones that come to mind (I think!) are:

The Doors - Five to One
KISS - She (both extremely similar, I think Ace ripped pretty hard from Robby here)

And I think Jimmy Page did some too.

Any suggestions?

Zep - Stairway to Heaven
Zep - Black Dog
Zep - Heartbreaker
AC/DC - Whole Lotta Rosie
Beatles - Let it Be
Joe Satriani - Satch Boogie
Kiss - God of Thunder
Van Halen - You Really Got Me

just a couple
"SO GLAD TO BE HERE I COULD JUMP OFF EVERY BRIDGE
BUT EVERYBODY'S GOT A ROPE AROUND ONE OF MY LIMBS
THEY'RE TRYIN' TO GET THEIR PIECE THEY KEEP ON TEARING ME APART
THEY WANNA GET INSIDE SO THEY CAN KICK AROUND MY HEART

lol everytime i wanna look cool

i cant really name much solo's off the bat that have Am pentatonic solos. in my opinion its nice to add to a rippin solo in the same key though. i sometimes like to add some harmonic minor or play in phrygian mode along with pentatonic scales and blues scales.

Nope

Hell, even the song Black in black isn't in Am. E pentatonic though :-)
