Hello everyone

I hope this is posted in the right section...

Well, when I bought my Strat I knew it had been sitting awhile, and it looks like it's time to get some new strings.

The ones on them now are kinda rusty and such, all metal.

I play classic rock, a little Hendrix and stuff kinda like that.

I'm a total noob when it comes to this stuff, and I have to idea what strings would be best for me.

Thanks!

Might wanna try some DR Strings Pure Blues. They are great for classic rock. But any set would probably be fine..

Okay, simple solution here.

1. Go into your preferred music shop.
2. Ask for a set of Ernie Ball .10's
3. Restring your guitar
4. ???
5. Profit
Guitars:
Gibson Explorer - White
PRS SE Singlecut
Fender Acoustic

Amps:
Crate head w/ POD preamp
Crate 120 watt POS
Crate Cab

I'm confused on 4 & 5...

Those lists things are really overdone, don't do it outside of the pit.

I'd use D'adarrio, but it's all preference. I find that D'adarrio strings last longer than EB strings and they feel better to me.
Gear List:
'97 Gibson Explorer w/ Duncan SH-4 and SH-2
Fender Jazz Bass 'Crafted in Japan'
Yamaha Acoustic Guitar
Vox AD30VT w/ VFS2
Roland Cube 30 Bass
Modded "St. Louis" Wah
Dunlop .88 Tortex picks

So the vote is:

DR Strings - 2
D'adarrio - 2
Ernie Ball - 7
Fender Bullets - 1
PRS - 1

Looks like it comes down to Ernie Ball...

Thanks for all the help everyone!

RESOLVED

Well, my birthday is in a few weeks, and my Dad gave me an early present; 2 sets of Fender Super Bullets, 9's.

Should be good for what I'm doing now (just practicing, I've been playing for 2 months).
