i have a 1992 prelude s/r and today when i was washing it. i noticed a small rust spot, too small to bondo, so i was just wondering is there any other way i can treat this rust spot, or should i just take it to a body shop.

your advice is appreciated..

You can buy little rust spot fix kits at Canadian Tire or the equivalent of that wherever you are, as long as it isn't too big of a spot.

bondo over rust=fail
not washing car=similar to not washing yourself for car enthusiasts=fail
is it under the paint or is it clearly visible?/paint has chipped off

ah ic a good spot to work on, well theres 2 things you can do

1. body shop, if you go to a decent place you will get a really good outcome

2. do it yourself: all you need to do is sand down the rust so it is bare steel, make sure you knock off all the ruined paint around hte rust, clean with alcohol wipes go get ride of any grease oil etc, paint, re paint, paint again, probly another time, and id go for a 5th coat

this should hopefully prevent the rust for a couple years

theres a saying though: rust is like cancer, the only way to cure it is to cut it out, so either way it will most likely come back, unless you are willing to spend alot of money getting the panel cut/filled, completely new panel, i would bother on a 92 prelude tbh
