They dont make JEMs for left handers. Except the 555 which is impossible to get a hold of.

JEM is simply an RG series with a cool price tag

JEM also has a taper on the neck joint that continues to the upper horn, while RG has it end rather ubruptly

and the monkey grip of course, inlays, etcetera

Not exactly, but if you compare them side to side, they will sound quite similar. Don't expect to sound like Steve Vai, but maybe it could.

you could try to find someone who replaced the pickups in their jem and get the pickups from them for cheap.

i mean, im pretty sure their both made of the same wood, so having the same pickups and hardware should get you pretty close.

Yeah I think Ill take the plunge and buy them both. Im really just looking for a similar sound. Not the exact same.
