Ok so heres the deal, for my birthday last year I got a new amp, and being a n00bI chose the Line 6 Spider 3 15 watt So now I am going to get money back and get a new amp.

I would like a recomendation on an amp that has good distortion and at least decent cleans for around the $400 range. I am currently looking at the Peavey Transtube Bandit 112. And also, I would like it to have a footswitch.

Thanks in advance

60 tube watts is hella loud dude. You can gig with 25 tube watts. Here's excerpts:

Studio-quality USB computer interface · MIDI In/Out · Studio-quality headphone output · MP3/CD/Aux input

Edit: Go to your local GC and test it out.

No. You can do better than the MG, especially the 100.

Low quality parts, sound, and for the price you could get a nice tube amp.
