You've got to love a good death in television, thers no better goodbye than singly handedly saving the planet by killing yourself now is there?

so what do you think are some of the most brain bashingly emotional scenes you can remember?

what comes to mind for me are;
Scrubs -Laverne dies, Ben dies, Cox loses the 3 patients.

Futurama - The one with Fry's dog.

The final Scene in M*A*S*H, Blackadder and Six Feet under

shoot!

I don't think I've ever found Scrubs sad, and I've seen every episode.

But yea, Brian's Song

For films I think Forrest Gump had some very sad moments, aswell as the Fox and the Hound (I used to cry everytime I watched it and I rarely cry at anything). Scrubs is a good one for TV.

Omg! Fry's dog episode made me cry like a little bitch, actually couldn't stop.
Green Mile always makes me cry even though I know what happens.

This.

The whole series after about fifteen episodes was pretty heart rending. The transmutation scene at the lab where Ed almost killed all those people was pretty intense too.

The episode where the scientist transmutes his daughter and the dog, and gets killed at the end from Scar.

I was pretty sad on the last episode of That '70s show

I was quite sad when I found out they'd made a series without Topher Grace (I think that's how you spell his name) because it seemed like a great show had shot itself in the foot.

Well when I was a kid the last scene of All Dogs Go To Heaven, when Charlie gets taken to heaven, was pretty dang sad.

The biggest for me was in 2004 and the Boxing Day Tsunami.
It was about 24-48 hours after the incident and Me and most of my family were around my great-nans and someone had the TV on.

The scenes on the News from SE Asia were truley horrible: Rotting bloated bodies everywhere, whole communites wiped out, blood-soaked hospitals literally heaving with screaming, bloody-stained patients and crying, terrified orphans looking in the ruins of their destroyed towns for their dead parents.

Those images, as well as ones of the sheer mass of water hitting the coasts nearly made me cry due to the terrible experiences those people must be experiencing on the other side of the world while I was there with with my well and healthy family in this warm house surrounded by food and drink. It broke my heart.
