Okay, I went to the thread what acoustic songs to learn on the acoustic? But I can't find any energetic songs.

Okay this is the full story:

I do Music Practise Btec National Diploma Award, and the theme of the next gig is acoustic. We are not aloud to do songs which were orignally recoreded in an electric guitar and cover it on an acoustic guitar.

We cannot do songs such as 'Mama Said' by 'Metallica' because Metallica are not an acoustic band. We are only allowed to do Acoustic Bands.

So we want to do energetic fun songs, Please do not mention Tenasious D songs there lyrics and college says NO! and no Wierd Al stuff.

In conclusion: What sort of songs can we do which are: Energetic and Fun, because I ahve noticed that usually the best songs are always energetic and fun!

Thanks!

Sorry for my bad English, It's not my first language.

um, try jack johnson some of his stuff ranges from super energetic and fun, to slow and heartfelt

wanna try some andy mckee? very technical, very impressive acoustic guitarist

Fionn Regan is slightly milder than both of these guys but his finger picking skills are impressive.
SATCH FTW!!!
NSW Group FTW!

There's nothing incredibly interesting here.

Why does it have to be an ''Acoustic band''? That doesn't seem entirely logical that the college is limiting you to such a niche musical practice.

Clap by Steve Howe(Yes)

I guess Yes isn't technically an acoustic band but pretty much all of Howe's solo work is so you should be able to get away with it.
