Indeed, another jerk asking for help regarding his amp.
I searchbarred but all results were amps for band play. amps for metal or just above my budget.

I have an Epiphone Les Paul Studio guitar, and still have that crappy Peavy amp you got with your Squier. Now i want a new amp for practise, i play solo without a band so 15 or 30 watt should be sufficient. My budget is around 150-200$ (actually it´s euro´s but thats not a real problem). Wich amp should be good?

Also, i play stuff like punk/pop/rock. Less Than Jake, Blink 182, Sum 41, White Stripes, Guided by voices, New Found Glory etc.

Your last job only paid you $7.00 AUD an hour? That's like $6.05 in the US. What the hell is the minimum wage over there?

Have a look at small valve amps. For home use, 5 watts of valve amp is very very loud already, so you don't necessarily need 15 or more watts. Check out these two:

http://www.thomann.de/gb/blackheart_little_giant_bh5112.htm

The Valbee has more gain on tap then the Little Giant, but the Little Giant has a bigger speaker and therefore can pump out more bass - while the Valbee can sound a tad thin with it's tiny speaker. However, both should work for what you play.

If you want something more versatile, look at modeling combos:

http://www.thomann.de/gb/vox_vt30.htm
http://www.thomann.de/gb/peavey_vypyr_30.htm

The Voxes are famous for their crunch sounds, while the Vypyr is better known for it's higher gain tones. I'd take a Vox over the Vypyr for what you are doing, but both are nice amps, so you should definitely try both before deciding on anything.

However, if versatility is not very important to you and you just need a good punk rock sound, the Valbee and Little Giant are probably the way to go.
