I put a ton of my capital into SW Airlines... The next day, THE NEXT DAY these nutters fly into the WTC. What the hell? Apparently no one wanted to fly anymore, and I was like "What gives? God damnit Osama, let me win a fuggin' game!"

Did you miss the enormous stickied thread called Tabs for Beginners?

Not to mention that you don't mention what type of playing you're looking to do at all. Green Day songs are very simple power chord rhythm tunes, but I never found that suggestion helpful since I was an awful rhythm player and preferred to use my newfound tab reading abilities to try out simple picking songs or solos.

I hope this post isn't against policy, I'd hate to be kicked out of the thread.

SWEET CHILD IS EASY TO LEARN. i HAVE A BIT OF trouble keeping speed up, but im also playing it on acoustic.

This may have already been said (and is certainly incorporated into "all nirvana songs", which are for the most part VERY easy.) but try "about a girl" - Nirvana - even teh riff is simple. It took me about 10 mins to master this song.

One of the first songs I ever learned on guitar

Artist: System of a Down
Song: Roulette
Tab: http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/s/system_of_a_down/roulette_tab.htm

Not sure if they're "easy tabs" (I can't tell, to me it looks easy now but back then it was challenging but doable).

Here are some other ones worth checking out, I learned these (amongst other songs) in the first 6 months of my playing, really helped with my hand coordination and callosis building.

Artist: Slipknot (no, I don't like them)
Song: Circle
Tab: http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/s/slipknot/circle_crd.htm

Artist: Warrel Dane
Song: August
Tab (Guitar Pro): http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/w/warrel_dane/august_guitar_pro.htm

Artist: Arch Enemy
Song: Enter the Machine
Tab: http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/a/arch_enemy/enter_the_machine_ver2_tab.htm

Artist: Demiricous
Song: Perfection and the Infection
Tab: ?

Artist: Nevermore
Song: The Sorrowed Man (this one is a bit more advanced, not by much though)
