I like Fender and Gretsch necks.

Does Fender or Gretsch have a custom shop where you tell em how you want it, and they build it. ???

Or if not, who would be a good company that can do that and will be gig-worthy quality? Ibanez? Jackson? Who?

No, Fender Custom Shop is just special models. Not customer-designed. I checked the site.

this is absolutely, 100% correct.
For example, Dave Mustaine has a signature coffee mix.

just out of curiousity, what would be a good ball-park price range for this:

a dark green tele with creme binding on body, neck, and headstock
Gibson '57 humbuckers
tele-style controls and input jack
Fender-style C-shape neck
Adjusto-matic Bridge
and a Bigsby

What would be a good guess as to the price range?

Seeing as it's like, a mix of several guitar's specs, I see it being...very expensive. No one is gonna make that cheap for you.

Try at least double, or more likely, triple that.

does Fender make a dark green tele with Creme binding?

If so, I could just buy that and mod everything over a period of years.

Do they make dark green, creme bound tele?

It would be much, much cheaper to do all of that by yourself. The binding might be a little tricky, but putting everything else together would be like building any old guitar.

Fender Jazz Bass 'Crafted in Japan'
Yamaha Acoustic Guitar
Vox AD30VT w/ VFS2

Dunlop .88 Tortex picks

Oh and i almost forgot that warmoth can do whatever you want. They sell necks and bodies and such, but you can also draw out and label a full-sized blueprint and send it to them and have them build it. I'm sure they could build that for you. You may have to put it together, though.

how much for that packman? few hundred?

Warmoth are definitely a good way to go. They're basically 'the working man's custom shop'. Just bear in mind that they don't actually put the guitar together yourself, they just make whatever you order and ship the parts to you. E.g. even if you order allt he parts for a full guitar from them, they will still only ship it to you as the neck seperate from the body, none of the electronics done, etc. It'll basically be like a 'kit'.

Still, if you can't afford a big brand's custom shop (and as far as I know ESP and Carvin are the only brands that let you do complete 'you choose everything' custom builds), it's the best way togo.
Yes, I know everything. No, I can't play worth a damn.

Get someone in the Custom Build forums to make it for you, or make it yourself. You will end up with much more cash in your pocket.

Get Ormsby to make you one!

I know next to nothing about his business, but good God, that man can build guitars.

EDIT: He can be found in GB&C. Check out some of his builds, you'll be impressed.

You're are probably best looking at local luthiers, the big name custom shop brands, ESP, Jackson etc become very pricey. But either way your going to be looking into at least $1k for a half decent specced CS guitar.
