What kind of amp or accessory( or settings for my amp/accessories) do you think would be best to find a guitar sound like James Hetfield or Kirk Hammet of Metallica. What i have right now is a Line 6 spider 3 amp, dime mxr distortion pedal, and a weeping demon wah pedal.

Well you'll need an ESP with EMGs into either a Diezel VH4 or a Mesa Boogie Mark IV (with a Dunlop Crybaby if you want Hammett's sound).
These threads are banned for that very reason; if you want an artist's tone, you have to buy their exact rig and play in the exact same way.

IMO, James has one of the worst tone's the Diezel has produced. The band as a whole has a rather bland tone also.

Going with a Single Recto, Mesa Mark III or IV, B-52, or Vetta II would be much more feasible and at a much much lower price.

Isnt Kirk using Randall amps?

He is but he isn't. In the studio he's still using his Marshall, Mark IIC+, and Mark IV blend. Live I'm pretty sure he's blending his randalls with something else. Most likely a Triaxis or Mark IV.
