ESP has consistant quality, like Ibanez, it's not terrible at lower prices and it's decent throughout the price ranges. A lower end ESP won't have as much features as an upper one or have quality, but it's great value and an overall good guitar. Dean, on the other hand, has terrible lower end models.

I own 2 Deans that I love.

So understand what I say when I say: DON'T BUY A CHEAP DEAN!

The mid- to high-end ones are quite nice (the '79's are fairly well done, for instance), but stay away from "Dimes"- you'll find better deals in their non-endorsement models.

Why, yes, I am a lawyer- thanks for asking!

Log off and play yer guitar!

Strap on, tune up, rock out!

The wise option would be to save your cash. Neither of those are very good. You can get an ML 79 for not that much more (Which are damn good for the money imo.) , and don't believe what most people say about Deans on here, most of it is bull****.

if you're buying a lower end guitar, buy the one that feels the best. they will all sound like **** in that price range. Then again dont get the factory blumpkin that was setup by a starving south korean child and cant stay in tune or has buzzing issues.

esp =/= ltd...

ESP is the name of the COMPANY and LTD is the name of the SERIES... Nothing's wrong with saying ESP LTD.
