im looking to upgrade my current setup and i was wondering what would be the best guitar for metal ...i dont have favorite type of metal so something versatile would be great..dont really have a budget so have at it... and opinions are very appreciated.

I would reccomend a Jackson RR3 from what I've heard, I want to get one myself.

im not a huge fan of the flying v shape...more of a schecter hellraiser is my style

Upgrade that Spider, you'll never hear an improvement in tone through that amp.
What is your budget?

yea im going with a complete new setup,im probably going to get a marshall half stack from a friend...i would say probably 2000 us dollars for aguitar and 1500 us dollars for a amp

Are you going to be gigging? You don't necessarily need a half stack, you could get a smaller amp of much higher quality with that budget.
