Ok I have a guitar that has a tremolo system but no locking nut and goes out of tune when I use it (the tremolo system).
It's a cheaper Ibanez model that has a 0.5 centimeters nut and I want to get a locking nut installed on it. Is there a way to install a locking nut without cutting the fret board or not covering the trust rod cover?

Is it one of those cheap ones with the HSH configuration?

A locking nut wouldn't help, and because you don't have fine tuners, it'd be a pain in the ass.
Just get locking tuners.

you cant install a locking nut without altering your neck.

so, the cost in doing that will probably (definitely?) be more than the guitar its self.

and as stated above, you wont have the locking tuners, so it will just piss you off.

So basicly I can't get one installed without working on the neck right?

Wouldn't I have to get new holes drilled for the scroows that come with the locking tuners?

No some locking tuners are drop in replacements, gotoh will probably best match Ibanez tuners.

Also you gotta get a graphite nut installed, that plus locking tuners will keep you in tune fine.

and yeah you cant instal a locking nut on a strat style tremolo.
