Hey everyone

I'm running a Epi LP Custom - > Crate FW65 (solid-state). There is a wah and a stomp-box (almost always on bypass) in my effects chain. I always use my low-gain overdrive channel for pretty much anything i play (for cleans, i roll down my volume on my guitar). My main issue is that when my gain is turned up, I get a lot of speaker/amp noise (that "white noise"). It's usually okay when I have my volume up on my guitar for a real crunch, but it kind of drowns out my cleans.

I was wondering if there are any ways on maybe cutting down on this noise aside from rolling down my Gain knob. I'm not looking to spend a lot of money. Here are some items I have been checkin out that I'm hoping might cut down the issue.

I am running my amp and an AC adaptor for the effect through a multi-port plug with an on/off switch.

Boss NS-2 Noise Suppressor (in effects chain)

I thank everyone in advance for helping out. It is greatly appreciated
