Hey,

I'm learning Down From The Sky, A Gunshot to the Head of Trepidation by Trivium and Fear of the Dark, Be Quick or Be Dead by Iron Maiden, and i've noticed something in all of these songs.

A Gunshot to the Head of Trepidation, this is the chorus:

E]-------------------------------------------------------------------|
B]-------------------------------------------------------------------|
G]-------------------------------------------------------------------|
D]------7-7-5-5-7-7-----7-7-5-5-7-7-----7-7-5-5-7-7-7-7-----5-5------|
A]------------------3-3-------------5-5-----------------8-8-----7-7--|
D]--0-0--------------------------------------------------------------|

(screwed up)

Anyway, this is repeated twice, but when I listen to the song, I can only hear each note played once, not twice. I've tried to play it like the tab above, but I can't get the speed of feel of it. Can anyone help me?

Cheers

There's no tremolo picking there, it's just a fast, picked riff.

A little rule of thumb to follow - if your ears aren't good enough to pick out the individual notes you've got no chance of playing the piece....you need to teach yourself how to listen too, not just how to play.
Actually called Mark!
