I'm planning on installing a seymour duncan Hot Soapbar SP90-2 into the bridge of my HSS Squier strat. Im not sure if this is a stupid question, but will the soapbar fit right into the humbucker cavity in the strat? Are soapbars the same size (dimension wise) as humbuckers?

nnnope!

The long dimension on a soapbar is longer than that same dimension on a HB.

The width of a soapbar (in the direction from the neck to bridge) is narrower on a soapbar than on a bridge.

you can get dimensions of pickups right off the SD website.
