Kramer just released a Les Paul shaped guitar with an FR, but I think an ESP would be much better.
Gear List:
'97 Gibson Explorer w/ Duncan SH-4 and SH-2
Fender Jazz Bass 'Crafted in Japan'
Yamaha Acoustic Guitar
Vox AD30VT w/ VFS2
Roland Cube 30 Bass
Modded "St. Louis" Wah
Dunlop .88 Tortex picks

in my oppinion a floyd rose would look absolutely redicioulous on a les paul
but its totally your decision

I've heard that putting a floyd on a paul absolutely kills the tone. Never done it myself, just what I've heard.

I'd go with ESP because they're awesome guitars.

it pretty much is

it's an epi studio that they slapped a floyd rose on and jacked the price like 200 bucks. hence why they're discontinued.

So, assumming by what you guys are saying, is that its a pretty bad guitar>

it's an entry level guitar with an LFR, so if it's not your first guitar i'd stay away from it. there's much better to be had.

Gibson Axcess
Probably out of your price range.......

I also recall Alex Lifeson playing one of these when i saw Rush last year
Urgh, never touch these guitars. They're made like absolute crap. I've had Chinese Epis that were constructed better than the Axcesses I've played. And this is coming from a Custom Shop owner, so you know.

Anyway if you want an LP with a Floyd, I would recommend either ESP, look into a Warmoth build (or have a local luthier make one for you), or possibly wait for the new Kramers to hit stores and see how those go.
Yes, I know everything. No, I can't play worth a damn.

I believe Alex Lifeson had a Gibson Custom Les Paul, black with Gold Hardware. It was a custom shop, meaning he probably had it installed after buying. I doubt Alex Lifeson would go anywhere near the Gibson Les Paul axcess, which are built horribly.

erm gibson did one which played amazingly well, discontinued or there abouts but they crop up on ebay now and again.

ESP are your best bet as they are very well built and getting a decent model your getting locking tuners plus a OFR which are all good

and to the guy who said it suck your tone....thats every floyd rose that makes you lose abit of your tone, hence the fluidy action.....could go into the science of it but god i wouldnt want to bore you guys to an inch of your life

No! Stay away from the Epiphone Les Paul Studio. Very bad model. Go for the ESP.

looks like this could be an axcess, but i do recall the black LP custom you are talking about

I swear i saw him playing this exact guitar when i saw them last year

Back on topic, I would go for the ESP, it seems like it would fit your style well

The ESP's are half the width of the Gibsons, so they lack the tone anyways.

That is definitely an Axcess, notice the thin neck heel join to the body.

+1 on the Carvin.

Les Paul's with FR's dont look too bad. I personally wouldn't own one but I don't see why everyone hates them.
