Finally got rid of my Line 6 Spider and bought this instead off of Craigslist...

A Marshall JCM 900 Dual Reverb!

It has toobz!

It even makes that DS-1 Sound good.

I'm very happy with this amp, I am a little cautious, however, because the guy I bought it from bought the amp new in '97 and never retubed it, so I think I'll do that a.s.a.p.

I'm also considering a speaker change, or at least a 2x12 cab with Vintage 30's to help it sound better at lower volumes and to lift it off the ground so the controls are easier to get to.

Killer! That's one of my favorite amps ever. I love the sound of a DS-1 through a good amp, there's nothing like it!

thats amazing! you got it used? very nice.

Yep, used for $575. Quite a step up from a Line 6 Spider 3! I'm still waiting for a nice day so I can take it outside and crank it without ruining something in my house. The lights right above it rattle when I'm playing, even with the volume low.

Congrats man
I'm intrigued on clipz, and A/Bing with the DS-1 would be pretty awesome to give people an idea of what one could achieve.

Nice!

I've been wanting a 900 for a while, but I'm going for an 800 instead cause it seems all the amps I like are just higher gain imitations of the 800. Makes sense to get one then eh?

My amp is from '91 and as far as I know it has never been retubed. Sounds fine though.
