So, I'm looking to give my tube-amp some more input. I was thinking about getting a tubescreamer, but since i am ALSO getting a guitar with active pickups, i was wondering if those two combined will give too much input to my amp, and maybe even damaging it.

anyone have any feedback?

It will be fine...

Example I have emg 81's ran into a boost pedal ran to a boost pedal ran to a boost pedal lol and dont have any ill effects

Now if that was an ss amp then you will have issues lol

Ehh tubescreamers arent really made for EMGs itll work but it will sound muddy, btw Kirk hammet has thousands of dollars to spend to make it work, tubescreamer works best with single coils, humbuckers then emgs in that order imo.

He's talking about using the TS9 as a boost, not for bluesy gain.
Your pickups aren't going to be a factor when using OD pedals as a boost.
