Well, if you mess with the level and dist controls, you can get quite a wide variety of tones with that pedal, ranging from "startled bees in a jar" to "downright furious bees in a jar"

It really depends WHERE you put it on your pedal board.
It sounds better the closer to the trash can it is; if it's actually in the trash can you'll reach tonal nirvana.

Sorry mate; pedal settings should be pretty intuitive once you actually have the pedal; if you can't get anything decent from it after experimenting with the settings then you just sort of have to admit that it's a rubbish pedal.
