I'm considering purchasing an acoustic-electric cutaway. I have about $400 to work with. It can be 6 or 12 strings. I'm not picky. But do yall have any suggestions?

for cutaway, there are less choices.

do you like thin bodies?
a more electric feel?

Jenny needs to sow her wild oats with random Gibsons and Taylors she picks up in bars before she settles down with a PRS.

for cutaways,

washburn, ibanez (not the talman), takamine, yamaha, and an alvarez if you can find a cheap enough cutaway.

honestly, if you go to MF and type in yamaha cutaway, washburn cutaway, and so on, you'll see which ones you can afford.

look thru them link a few and i can tell you which one i'd pick, but it would take me 10 mins to do that for ya and i need to go put my amps back together right now.

i know the washburn is a D series.
and that the yamaha is probably a thinline. the takamine might be an OM, or similar.

Ibanez AW30ECENT (30 or 35 ECENT, cant remember)

Awesome guitar. It can cover anything. Spruce top, mahogany back and sides. also make a rosewood back and sides for a bit more $$$.

I'm gonna buy me one after I buy myself a Schecter C-1.

Ovation...

They just sound like toys. Its the fiberglass body. Its not very good. I sold mine after a few months. I couldnt stand the tin sound.
