getting rid of (or lessening) latency when using a midi controler with fuityloops.

im using a esi keycontrol 49 that i borrowed from school. im using it with fruity loops, but when i hit it takes a second for it to sound.

is there anything i can do to make this less or not at all?

install ASIO4All on your computer and set that as the sound driver in FL.

how do i go about this?
is it a free download, from where, and how do i set the sound driver in fruity loops?

iv gotten the latency heaps better by the way, i just had to reducce the audio buffer or something heaps.

Yes it is a free download, for God's sake, just google it we're not here to hold your hand.

I haven't used FL for ages, but I was going to suggest the buffer settings. I'd still install the ASIO4ALL driver as well though, see if it helps, it may improve. As I say, I haven't used FL for ages so I'm not sure how to set it as the driver, but the help manual should be able to give you an idea. There'll probably be the option under 'preferences' or 'options' etc.
