It's not a solo, but on the live version of "Trains" by Porcupine Tree, the acoustic interlude is amazing. Also, the first track on Damnation by Opeth is amazing.

I'm not big on tone or anything, can't tell the difference between one amp/guitar and another, but Muhammed's tone in his solos is orgasmic, and so are the solos themselves.

Just get it cut a little. It will grow back. Besides why is it so important to look metal? That's just retarded.

Yeah, his stuff with the band of gypsys is by far my favorite Hendrix. Lately for me its the version of Friend of the Devil on Dead Set (Grateful Dead)). Jerrys second solo makes me want to cry, its so beautiful. Oh, and Mountain jam by the Allman brothers, I better stop thinking now cause we could be here a while.

The solo from "Blind Man" by Black Stone Cherry. Chris Roberston is an amazing singer and guitarist!

"The Last Man" - Clint Mansell. I'd seen The Fountain, and when my history class watched a video on trench warfare, that was the soundtrack. I recognized the song, and looked it up. It's heart-wrenching.
