i was wondering how you could fit a tele bridge pup without a tele bridge
#8
Isnt a tele bridge pup just an angled single coil?

You can pretty much put any type of pickup on any guitar.

The pickup may come from a tele but it wont keep that tone in a LP. Only thing to deal with is the odd shape of the tele bridge pickup.
#10
Alot of the twangy sound that comes is from a tele bridge pup is because of the bridge plate. Just thought you should know that.

That...doesn't matter.
You need the bridge plate, or at least some form of metal pickup ring.
it's all just coming back
it's all coming back

it's all coming back to me

You could try a Duncan Twangbanger or something similar. It's a tele pickup for strats.

Ok... so.. you want to put a tele style bridge pickup in an LP style body without the bridge plate? Ok... so... put a tele style bridge pickup in. Just mount it staight into the wood.

but i dont want the cavity showing

then fab a pickup cover. If you're having an LP built for you, they should be able to build a cover for it.
