I've got $250 coming in over the weekend from selling some old guitar stuff (first epiphone sg and old amp) and was wondering what I could get to improve my sound.

First up is a better distortion, the Line 6 just sounds, bad. Anything else I should look into?

And I'm getting a new cable for sure since one broke, any specific type of cable best?

Thanks

get a good quality amp.. then a better guitar.. then get pedals..pedals arent going to make it too much better.

What do you play? Metal (like most of the kids around here), blues, classic rock, country....?

I'm assuming since you mention distortion that you're on the heavier side of things. Curious though, why do you feel the need to use that pedal with your modeling amp?

Noo, ska, just looking for a distortion that would work for an OffSpring/Reel Big Fish tone, not an exact copy, but close enough.

And the modeling on it sucks, I like the clean channel though
