hey guys, my bassist in my band has been borrowing my schools sh*tty bass for after school band jam sessions, which got the job done for what we needed.

but now that we're looking at gigging around town, he wont be able to use the schools equipment anymore. he needs his own gear, and i am pretty clueless about basses. (this is where you guys come in

so, what he needs is a decent bass/amp setup for under $750. (australian) is this possible? and if so, any reccomendations?

thanks

I got my Ashdown MAG300 head and 4x10 cab for like 800
But i think that was on sale, tell him to save a bit more.
That amp is pro.
Depending on what you guys play...

we play hard rock to 80s thrash pretty much. AC/DC, gnr, metallica, megadeth-ish kind of stuff

so youre saying save some more? and then buy what? (im relying heavily on this, because the nearest legit guitar store is 2000km's away)

Do you just want an amp or a bass as well? You weren't super clear, and I'm super tired.

i want a bass and an amp

bass+amp=what i want

a bass and an amp is what i shall want, and the object of the wanting shall be both a bass and an amp.

clear enough?
