Hey everyone
I'm looking into buying a cheap acoustic build kit... mainly to try some experimental wood treatments and their effect on tone... more on that later.
Anyway, i thought I'd let you wood junkies check out this link...

Its apparently a spruce top, mahogany everything else. I wanna know in your experience with wood pr0n your opinions on the grains on this kit.

looks like a cheap acoustic guitar build kit to me. Will it play? It should. Will it be amazing hand crafted insane quality? NO. If you're just looking to start some finishing, I'd say this is a decent place to start. Spruce should be okay.. Mahogony is nice.

go for it, or don't.

Hmmm, the spruce top looks weaksauce. The grains aren't very closely fitted together.
Well it IS a cheap kit
