So for my next bank breaking adventure I really want a fretless sixer.

Theres the Steve Bailey Fender sig. model (Which is beautiful beyond all comparison)
The Music Man 6er (Which isn't available outside the USA)
And many custom made/de-fretted models.

Aimlessly looking through google I came across an Infinity model on ebay, but culdn't find the actual website for it.

Does anyone know any makes/models/websites etc. to help me out?

Check out Ibanez as well. One of my former teachers played a 6 string Ibanez fretless that was quite nice.

Budget and playing styles?

The budget is fairly unlimited at the moment (within reason of course), because i'll just be saving my ass off untill I can afford it.

Style is the percussive slap/noise area of things.

It will be for a band I'm putting together that has a drummer, an upright bass playing the rhythm and an electric playing the lead.

I'm sure Warwick do a few.

The point of underground bands is their not popular or famous most of the time. Thus there is a good chance they suck.

Fender does do a different fretless six, which is lined and in different colours to the Steve Bailey. Or it might be a varient of the Steve Bailey, in which case I apologise, but the SB is unlined.
Warwick Custom Shop will of course do you a fretless six, and you can get almost all of their bass models in six-string, and all of them fretless for no extra charge according to their site. I think most dealers do charge more.
If a slap heavy style is what you're into, I reckon one of those two would do you nicely.

i played a modulus quantum fretless 6 string. twas nice. I would recommend it.

Most are custom builders and a fretless 6 will be pretty expensive.
Yamaha doesn't make a fretless 6, not sure about Ibanez, but a defret could be an option if you found one you liked for cheap. Yamaha does make a fiver though.
Bang for the buck for a young guy like yourself; Brice. They offer two, off the rack models that will run you $300/$500 USD.

The Brice ones look damn nice(For the price tag), but I may actually attempt to save up for the Steve Bailey.
I figure if I don't spend any money for the next three months I can afford it.

Have you considered having a custom bass built? If you can get in touch with a local luthier or one that's just not very well known, you can typically get an incredible instrument for a great price.

Peavey, Ibanez, Warwick, and Your Fender Sig. Those are what I'd recommend, they all have great custom shops.

this by far.

I'm pretty sure Dean makes one, but why would we want that?

I wouldn't call what we have here on the Bass Forum a mentality. It's more like the sharing part of an AA meeting.

Or try Sandberg, they are very customisable, and make lovely hand built basses, and basses only

So far I have still only seen three 6er fretless' for sale on the internet.
Although eBay has a shocking amount.

So it would seem to be the way to go.
I might get the infinity model just see if I like it, and then save for a decent one.
