if you go too far the strings will snap. also the intonation will be slightly off, but probably unnoticeable

well i havent bought one because i dont usually play country and i dont ever need one for metal so lol

you could just learn it without a capo. a capo doesnt like create new notes that were never available before. there are actually very few times when a capo is needed.

You could just play different chords. Like if the chord with a capo is an E, just play an F.
