Heres the spec of the other one I wanna do.

One piece Brazilian Mahogany body,
Bookmatched Figured Bubinga top,
One piece Rosewood Neck,
24.75" scale with rosewood fingerboard,
Some kind of crazy inlay but unsure yet.
Emg's, T.O.M and Stoptail.
Oil & wax finish.

Gonna do it alongside the RG in the other thread. Pix soon.

Just bookmatched 4 bubinga tops for the V, might do a couple of V's. Keep one and sell one. The others are goin on Ebay I think. I picked up another nice bit or bubinga today, 6ft long, 12" wide and 22mm thick. Its nice stuff.

Tell the truth..you live in a bubinga forest. It's the only explanation.

Depends. If I do two one will have a rosewood neck and the other will be mahogany. I'll probably scarf the mahogany one but not the rosewood one.

Oh emm eff jee.
That is one b-e-a-utiful top.
Can't wait to see how this build turns out.
You considered doing a dyed finish to really make the figuring explode?
#13
Nah, I like the colour of the bubinga as it is. If you think thats a nice top wait till you see the others!

I don't know if I could take it. That top you posted right up there looks incredible! That is a truly beautiful top right there...

Right, things have changed. Im doing four identical V's not just one.

I had a dream I made four V's like the four horsemen of the apocalypse - Death, Conquest, War and Famine, each with its own inlay.
Heres the four tops with fingerboards. Im goin with Ebony boards and MOP inlays though not the kingwood ones in the pic-

I got myself a little present today too so I can bookmatch upto 10"-

For Conquest, you should do a sword or something. Awesome concept

conquest - sword from 7-12
war - old cannon 7-12
famine - a sandwich
death - grim reaper

a nice pair of boobies would be pretty m3tal. something medieval is probably the best route to go. that bandsaw looks like a toy haha, it looks like its made of plastic because of the awesome colors, but im sure it will rock through that bubinga with no issues.

Plastic? how very dare you sir! Its made of sheet metal and its Its a F**king beast, its as tall as me and it weighs just as much as me too! Took 3 of us to get the box into into the car. I had to ring a friend to gelp me lift it out the car. It weight 160KG!

thats clearly a child molester that plans to cut his little boy into pieces after sodomizing him.

Pedophilia was the 5th horsemen but got sent down for all the kiddie porn he kept in his saddle bags! lol

Famine should be desert landscape.
War and conquest are hard though, they're pretty interchangeable.
it's all just coming back
it's all coming back

it's all coming back to me

You'd like that wouldn't you, you little Josef Fritzl ite

too soon?

Anywho, its looking lovely, how much did that bandsaw cost you?

for war, inlay bloodstains on the fretboard, for conquest, put a long bastard sword on there, with or without a shield. you could put death on the shield, it'd be more brutal than Opeth leading an army of flesh dripping skeletons to attack a Miley Cyrus concert with various arsenic coated pickaxes.

Fritzel's gettin a bad deal, he was only lookin after his family. He was just protecting em from child molesterers and rapists.

Bandsaw was £650, should have been £795 but it was priced wrong on website so they had to stick to it. Got 6 extra blades for free too.

Yeah, he was protecting them from incest too, that sneaky devil. Nice deal on the bandsaw, some of us will have to deal with > £200 ones

I don't know if the Yanks get it!

Dude. War. The Samurai, were masters of War for 1000 years or more. There are some very cool inlays you could do with that...I could probably point you in the right direction...being part Samurai myself.

Conquest...well...a Guy having an FFM threeway?

Hmm, I'm thinking a few bones for famine.
Maybe.
Or just do a skeleton.

It'd get the point across.
Looking forward to these!

The harder the rules became.

For Famine, I think you should do a flock of locusts attacking a field.

I forgot to mention that these are going to be awesome. The idea of having a four horsemen set is a good idea on its own, but what makes it epic is the stripped-back style of your guitars. They're always like, no bull**** players' guitars. Four guitars with great wood, badass hardware, and understated themed inlays is epic. They'd be more like tools of the apocalypse, instead naff, superficial crap with shoddy paintwork and tacky inlays.

Man, I read the "I had a dream.." bit, and I was thinking "****, that's a cool idea" with the KL V in mind, then I scrolled down a bit and was like "Dude, he's actually making four" and I almost died. Also, you have to keep them together as a set, and NOT sell any! Oh, and I hope you don't take offence to this, but it reminds me of Hetfield rolling out onto the stage with seemingly-identical KL Explorers, then you look closely and notice different inlay patterns on each - that looks so ****ing slick IMHO.

Badass.

These are going to be phenomenal. Always have loved your work. Can't wait to see these done!
