I was initially gonna go emg but I'm not fond of actives.

Looked into Seymour Duncan blackouts they ended up to be active.

Any suggestions?

Head and Cab for $130? You don't need a head and cabinet, you need a psychological examination.

If you have a lower gain tube amp, DiMarzio evolutions will help drive your amp more for metal. If you have a modern style amp, Seymour Duncan pickups, or some lesser0known companies like Bareknuckle might work better.

if you don't want really cleany clean cleans, Bill Lawrence XL500s. best metal pickups in my opinion, and they are like 50$ each.

I find a Seymour Duncan TB 4 can grasp a fairly decent metal tone.. As a bridge pick up replacement of course.

Lol

Well my bday is coming up gettin either jackson sl3 or sl1 soloist

And since I play a lot of metal I was gonna switch in one of the pickups (the bridge pickup) for a passive metal pickup.

So what I'm really asking is what's the best metal passive pickup i can get my hands on?
