The craigslist around my area shows none, and I frankly don't think I have the resources to drive to some city and pick up a guitar.
So my question is what are other options to pick up a used MIM?
Also, what are some of the better years to look for?

Yeah a local shop, I would also check a pawn shop you might get a really good deal there.

I found a used MIM Strat, mint condition at a Guitar Center for $250 a couple months back. Check there. Ebay is good too if you are careful and buy from a trusted seller.

Check pawn shops, they're usually full of used strats

also, ebay is a pretty good bet

But I don't have the resources needed to go and pick it up if it does pop up.

Got mine on eBay for $300, and it's an incredible guitar. I just ordered new tuners, USA 2-point trem, pearloid pickguard and a SD Custom Custom for the bridge.

Everybody here is right if they said eBay, you could save $100 bucks or more, for a guitar with a few straches (somtimes even new guitars). I have a MIM strat from eBay and its amazing, Strats are the way to go
