Hey I bought a new neck for my strat but the new neck is 22 frets not 21. is it a big deal if I put this neck on? and If it's too close to the neckpickup, can I shave a bit off of the neck?

Put the neck in the socket where you'd normally screw it in.

Carefully measure from where the nut meets the fretboard to the bridge where the strings leave the saddles-- this length should be 25.5".

If it's not, write it down
Then measure the distance from the nut to the 12th fret (the fret wire itself)... if this distance is 1/2 of what your original measurement was, the neck will work.

If not, you'll have to find a way to mount it further back in order to restore the original scale

Good luck!

^Owned.

I suggest not screwing with the UGer with the best name on the site.

I don't see how prostitution is going to help out your string buzz...
