I've heard great things about these amps and I'm thinking of leaning towards them for my next amp. I am upgrading from a 90's Fender Champ my dad had.

I was looking at 2 different B-52s. I am mainly looking for heads.

B-52 AT100
B-52 LS100

What are the main differences between those two amps? The AT is twice as much money as the LS, so I don't want to buy something crappy.

Also, I've heard great things about the AT112. But does it come in head form? On guitarcenter.com it is only listed as a combo

Thanks

well the LS is solid state, while that AT is a tube preamp with power amp in either solid state, tube A/B and tube class A

the AT is going to sonically kick the LS in the groin

no, the AT has a power amp that can change between tube and solid state;

Tube class A has a lot of harmonic content, its very nice sounding
Tube class A/B has less harmonic distortion in the power amp, a bit better for metal perhaps
Solid State has no harmonic distortion

the pre-amp is tube though, but i am thinking of getting an AT-100 myself, or maybe the 60 watt version if i can find it
